Near the turn of the 19th Century, St. Augustine enjoyed a gilded age of grand private homes, resorts and cottages built by Henry Flagler and his fellow oil tycoons. One of these charming cottages is now available for your enjoyment, too. The Benefactors's Cottage was built around 1885 by tycoon William Warden for his daughter, Elizabeth Ketterlinus. Elizabeth went on to donate land several blocks from her home to become Ketterlinus School. The cottage features 3 bedrooms and two baths. It is on a quiet street just two blocks from the Visitors' Center and the City Gates. The spacious rear yard and sitting proches recall a bygone era of simplicity and charm. Off-street parking for 2 cars included.
